Robot, the Surgeon and the Mathematicians (The)
Professor Benabid and his neurosurgery team carry out a stereotactic cranial biopsy with the help of a robot. Software based on digitizing a map of the brain produces a 3-D model from NMR and X-ray imagery and guides the robot, enabling the surgeon to optimize the path taken by his instruments.
