The DOMUS Living Lab is an automated home in the form of a 3-room apartment

The DOMUS Living Lab is an automated home in the form of a 3-room apartment recreated in the Grenoble IT laboratory (LIG). All the commands (opening/closing the blinds, switching the electric kettle, the television or the lights on or off) can be activated via multiple interfaces and from a central control station. More precisely, all these devices are activated through an Awabot home robot called Emox. The behaviour of both residents and operators was recorded to study how the presence of a robot affected the humans involved in the project.

CNRS Images,

Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
