Summary
In the archaeological museum of Thassos, in northern Greece, archaeologist Arthur Muller introduces us to his research in coroplastic art, the study of terracotta votive statuettes found in the surroundings of temples in ancient Greece, for example in the temple of Artemis and Demeter Thesmoforos (5th to 2nd century).
By studying how they were made, through successive moulding, heads combinations, and modifications in their clothing, we discover a nearly modern fabrication method of these votive offerings, widely spread in the mediterranean.
