Femelle éléphant de mer austral, "Mirounga leonina", venant d’arriver à terre à Kerguelen en attente de mise bas au sein du harem qu’elle a choisi. Cette image a été réalisée à Rivière du Nord, dans les îles Kerguelen, un archipel français subantarctique, dans le cadre du programme de recherche CYCLELEPH, Cycle de vie des éléphants de mer austraux : énergétique et personnalité.
