Têtes d'une imprimante à jet d'encre utilisée pour diagnostiquer des cancers

Printheads on an inkjet printer used in cancer diagnosis. This 3D printing process combines the stable ejection of microdroplets from a piezoelectric printhead with computer-aided control of the device via a CAD design tool. The deposits (around 100 microns) applied in this way to small-scale surfaces are then functionalised using biomolecules in order to identify tumorous areas.

CNRS Images,

Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
