Laser ablation. This process is used to create thin layers and/or nanoparticles from a plasma. The target absorbs the energy and produces plasma. A plasma deposit forms on the substrate (oxide and minerals). The nanoparticles (2 to 3 nanometres) are produced in flight. These nanoparticles are encapsulated in a matrix or recovered in stacked layers. This technique, frequently used in research, has many applications in the field of materials for electronics and photonics.
