Poche de pigment rouge phycoérythrine devant un appareil de bio-raffinage des algues
Poche contenant un pigment rouge appelé phycoérythrine, issu de la microalgue Porphyridium. Ce pigment a des applications dans le domaine médical. Il sert par exemple de marqueur immunofluorescent dans la lutte contre le cancer. En arrière-plan, l'appareil est un broyeur de cellules utilisé pour le bio-raffinage des algues. Plusieurs opérations successives de bio-raffinage permettent d'isoler les différents composants des algues, notamment ce colorant rouge.
