Bâtiments du CRIOBE, situés dans la vallée d'Opunohu à Moorea (Polynésie française). Depuis sa création en 1971, le Centre de Recherches Insulaires et Observatoire de l'Environnement (CRIOBE) est devenu un acteur scientifique reconnu dans le monde entier. Les recherches concernent essentiellement l'écosystème corallien polynésien mais aussi le milieu terrestre. Le CRIOBE de Moorea est un centre de recherche mais aussi une station de terrain pour tous les chercheurs français (universitaires, CNRS...) et étrangers (Américains, Australiens, Japonais...).
