Pointe d'un microscope à force atomique (AFM). Cette pointe est constituée d'un levier (pièce métallique grise appelée habituellement "cantilever") qui vibre imperceptiblement à proximité de la surface à étudier. Le levier est terminé par une très fine pointe en silicium qui interagit avec les reliefs de la surface (de l'ordre du µm²) et permet d'en mesurer une cartographie après un balayage.
