Combrétacée, site de Saut Pararé, Station des Nouragues en Guyane. "Combretum rotundifolium" est une liane héliophile qui croît généralement le long des rivières. Son nom créole est "peigne singe rouge" c'est à dire peigne du singe hurleur, en raison de sa forme de brosse et de sa couleur. Cette plante fait partie de la pharmacopée traditionnelle des Amérindiens de Guyane.
