Scène de pêche collective coutumière au miikwa (Chanos chanos Forskåll) de populations kanaks à l'île des Pins (Nouvelle-Calédonie). Une fois le banc de miikwa (poisson-lait) encerclé avec le filet mouillé par les deux pirogues, les pêcheurs se mettent à l'eau pour prendre à la main les poissons ainsi capturés sans les blesser et les rapporter à bord.
