Camera eye

The eye is one of the most developed organs in the living world, particularly in humans. Its main function is to detect movements using photoreceptor cells in the retina, which transmit only a small amount of information to the brain.
By copying this operation, the Prophesee company has developed a revolutionary camera which only records data corresponding to moving points. Compared to a digital camera, this leads to an energy and processing speed gain in the order of 100 to 1000. This bio-inspired camera has multiple industrial, medical and security sector applications.

Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
