Fire Alarm and Fire Extinguishing Apparatus competition (The)
Organised by the ONRSI Engineering Committee, the competition for fire alarms and fire extinguishers was held from 7 to 12 December 1925. The experiments were carried out on the demolished pavilions of the Exhibition of Decorative Arts in order to recreate the ordinary conditions of fire starts as closely as possible.
The competition tests consisted in extinguishing fires burning from logs, a tank of hydrocarbon, gasoline and a short circuit to test different fire extinguishers.
