The Saint-Chamond company presents to the High Commission of Inventions its 220 mm gun on its continuous track chassis towed by a caterpillar tractor. This lead vehicle produces the electric current necessary to propel the gun chassis with a built-in power generator. Vehicles are tested on rough terrain to resemble battlefield conditions, and then several shots are fired.
