Testing of Mr. Roux’s foam-type extinguisher on electrified panels, January 20,1930. The Office also focused on preventing fires, the cause of asphyxia, in particular by launching a major competition for the development of fire extinguishing systems. This event was organized in partner-ship with the Ministry of Public Works, the Paris police and fire departments, and the Chambre syndicale des magasins et galeries (the syndical chamber for depart¬ment stores and galleries).
