Water weeding tests by the National Union of the Etang de Belval associations

From 7 to 11 June 1927, the manufacturers of water weeding machines convened at the Etang de Belval ponds to participate in the competition organised by the Union Nationale des Syndicats de l'Etang de Belval (National Union of the Etang de Belval associations).
The jury, the delegates of the fish farmers' associations and a few bystanders attend the different contests: launching and hauling out of the boats, loading them on wagons and transport on causeways and roads, mowing, speed racing. The machines, divided into three classes, are all designed to improve the management of water bodies and to control rush and reed.
