A portrait of Claire Waelbroeck, a paleoclimatologist at the Laboratoire des sciences du climat et de l'environnement (LSCE) in Gif-sur-Yvette. This young researcher, of Belgian origin, winner of the CNRS Bronze Medal in 2003, describes her scientific work.
She studies past climate variation through the analysis of marine sediment and polar ice. Her research aims at reconstructing natural climate variability in order to understand the current climate more fully.

Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
