Site of "Toca do Boqueirao da Pedra Furada" (The)
A number of archaeological sites have recently been discovered in the inner valleys of north-eastern Brazil, in the state of Piaui.
Some 17,000 years ago, the site of "Toca do Boqueirao da Pedra Furada" sheltered populations of hunters who left rock drawings on the cliff walls.
This film provides an account of the diggings undertaken in 1982-1983, which revealed an impressive quantity of microvestiges (heated stones, traces of ancient flora and fauna, silex, knives, hewn scrapers or quartz).
