Les blocs d’acides aminés qui caractérisent des familles de protéines d’espèces phylogénétiquement proches sont recherchés. Ces éléments sont utilisés pour des grammaires formelles et des modèles de Potts qui permettent de tenir compte des corrélations indirectes.
