Traces éphémères d’un manchot royal, "Aptenodytes patagonicus" sur le sable noir d’une plage volcanique de l’île Marion. Cette île de l'archipel sud-africain du Prince-Edouard est une réserve naturelle depuis 1995. Elle abrite une station de recherche et une station météorologique. Les scientifiques y étudient son écosystème fragile, longtemps menacé par l’activité humaine.
