Fourmis "Pseudomyrmex penetrator" dans le pétiole renflé et creux de la feuille d'un arbre du genre "Tachigali" dans la Montagne des Singes, à Kourou, en Guyane française. Les feuilles de cet arbre peuvent mesurer plus d'un mètre. Le pétiole a été ouvert sur sa longueur pour montrer les fourmis. Il abrite également des champignons (taches sombres et taches blanches) cultivés par les fourmis comme source de nourriture.
