Fourmis "Pseudomyrmex penetrator" vivant dans le pétiole renflé et creux d'une feuille d'arbre du genre "Tachigali", dans la Montagne des Singes, à Kourou, en Guyane française. Les feuilles de cet arbre peuvent mesurer plus d'un mètre. La fourmi a creusé un simple trou pour l'entrée de sa cavité.
