Centaines de tubes contenant des mouches drosophiles, stockés dans un laboratoire. L'objectif de ces recherches est de comprendre comment opère le système immunitaire inné dans le combat contre la maladie infectieuse. À cet effet, plusieurs modèles d'infection sont employés en utilisant la mouche à vin ou mouche du vinaigre, "Drosophila melanogaster", comme hôte.
