Peyotl replanté dans un jardin domestique. C'est un petit cactus non épineux dont on extrait plusieurs alcaloïdes, notamment la mescaline. De retour du pèlerinage à Wirikuta, certains Huichols plantent quelques uns de ces cactus autour de leur maison. Mais la plante ne peut pas se reproduire hors de son milieu d'origine désertique.
