Échantillons de Cèdre du Japon pour l’étude de la recouvrance hygrothermique. Ces échantillons de Cèdre du Japon "Cryptomeria japonica", en japonais "Sugi", ont subi un traitement hygrothermique (chauffage à 80 °C dans de l’eau), à l’état vert (fraichement découpés, sans séchage préalable). Ce protocole expérimental permet de relaxer les déformations viscoélastiques bloquées durant la maturation du bois. Le numéro écrit sur chaque échantillon correspond à sa position par rapport à la moelle du tronc.
