Samanera
In Burma, young boys are taken by their parents to the monastery during the Shinuy ceremony. The life of the novice (called samanera) in the monastery permits him to acquire the Buddhist morale, which will make him a believer, a ‘real ' Burmese. In this film, a young boy is taken to the coven of Maha Ganda Yone, near Mandalay.
