Thirty Thousand Years Ago...

An expedition to the virgin expanse of Antarctica's Dome C, to take core samples down to a depth of about 1000 meters. From these, one can analyze the ice deposited over the last 30,000 years and discover how the climate and atmospheric pollution have changed over that time.
