For a few degrees more
The characteristics and quality of a wine are closely linked to the climate. With current and future changes, wine-growing areas could change. In the Loire Valley, one of the pilot sites since 2007, Hervé Quénol and his team have installed networks of sensors and weather stations in the vineyards. The purpose of this research is to simulate the future climate in order to recommend methods or grape varieties to winegrowers which are adapted to these changes?
