Summary

During several years of ethnographic researches on the Amazonian Indians, the Achuar, Philippe Descola, the laureate of the 2012 Gold Medal of the CNRS, studied the relationship between human beings and nature. He gradually extended his thought to other societies and redefined our own relationship with nature and with the world.

CNRS Images,

Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
