Evariste Galois
At the occasion of the bicentenary of Evariste Galois ' s birth, this film evokes the life and the work of one of the greatest mathematics genius, whose theory has revolutionized modern mathematics and physics.
Born in 1811, he died at the age of 21 following a duel. He discovered the world of mathematics at the age of 16 and his papers were refused by the French Académie des Sciences. His theory started to be recognized and understood only 30 years later.
