Innovatives SHS: when the humanities innovate
The 2022 edition of Innovatives SHS opens on 18 May at the Condorcet Campus in Aubervilliers. This is an opportunity to discover amazing, innovative initiatives in the fields of human and social science research.
It is not only the "hard" sciences that lead to society transforming innovations. This is what the Innovatives SHS exhibition has been trying to prove since 2013. The new edition of the exhibition will be held on 18 and 19 May 2022 at the Condorcet Campus in Aubervilliers, a leading centre for the humanities and social sciences in France.
It is about showing how the human and social sciences (SHS) can also be capable of producing a transfer of knowledge and innovation that all society can benefit from. Innovatives SHS therefore highlights initiatives that put basic research the disposal of the greatest number of people, under the aegis of InSHS, the human and social sciences institute of the CNRS.
Since the first edition in 2013, these include, in no particular order: demonstrating the expertise that these disciplines can bring to public decision-making or business governance, the creation of products to improve language learning, transport optimisation or even virtual reality experiences. The 2022 edition focuses on artificial intelligence. You will be able to discover the work of thirty teams, each of which will have its own exhibition stand, working in fields as diverse as the environment, health, creation, culture and cosmetics, etc. So many exciting fields of research where the innovation will surprise you.
And for those who can't make it to the event, we invite you to discover some of these initiatives through a series of short films and photo reports!
CNRS Images,
Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
