Torso of an Amazon, probably belonging to an Amazonomachy from the Tholos of Delphi, Greece. This torso, with draped clothing and ribbons around the waist and breast, is held at the Archaeological Museum of Delphi. It is one of the pieces studied as part of an investigation into the significance of gender differences in Ancient Greece between the 8th and 4th century BCE.

Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
