Statue de de l’athlète Hagias, au musée archéologique de Delphes

Votive offering of Daochos held at the Archaeological Museum of Delphi, Greece. This statue of the athlete Agias is a marble copy of a bronze original created by the sculptor Lysippus of Sicyon. It is one of the pieces studied as part of an investigation into the significance of gender differences in Ancient Greece between the 8th and 4th century BCE.
