Wire model on a brass structure, representing a cubic cone of genus 1. This model was created by Hermann Wiener, professor of mathematics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany, in 1899. It forms part of a collection of mathematical objects at the Institut Henri Poincaré (IHP).
