Vue ventrale d’un crapaud de l'espèce Dendrophryne menu, "Amazophrynella minuta", sur la litière de la forêt, le long du sentier botanique, près du Saut Maripa, aux environs de Saint-Georges-de-l'Oyapock, en Guyane française. L'individu ne possède ni tympan, ni oreille moyenne. Cette photographie a été prise dans le cadre du projet UACEF (Undergrowth acoustic communication of "earless" frogs) du Centre d'étude de la biodiversité amazonienne (CEBA) qui a pour but d'étudier ce groupe d'espèces pour comprendre les processus d'adaptation ayant entraîné la perte de la fonction auditive.
