Crapaud feuille, "Rhinella castaneotica", en posture de chant, en Guyane française
Mâle adulte de crapaud feuille, "Rhinella castaneotica", en posture de chant dans une mare temporaire, sur le sentier botanique, près du Saut Maripa, aux environs Saint-Georges-de-l'Oyapock, en Guyane française. Cette photographie a été prise dans le cadre du projet UACEF (Undergrowth acoustic communication of "earless" frogs) du Centre d'étude de la biodiversité amazonienne (CEBA). Il étudie "Amazophrynella minuta", un groupe d'espèces de crapauds dénués d'oreille moyenne tympanique, pour comprendre les processus d'adaptation ayant entraîné la perte de la fonction auditive.
