Mâle d'ameive commun, "Ameiva ameiva ", une espèce de reptile, à Remire-Montjolly, en Guyane française. L'individu a été découvert en plein centre-ville, près d'une piscine. L'animal peut ainsi se développer en zone anthropique. Cette photographie a été prise dans le cadre du projet UACEF (Undergrowth acoustic communication of "earless" frogs) du Centre d'étude de la biodiversité amazonienne (CEBA). Il étudie "Amazophrynella minuta", un groupe d'espèces de crapauds dénués d'oreille moyenne tympanique, pour comprendre les processus d'adaptation ayant entraîné la perte de la fonction auditive.
