One of the old streets of São Luís do Maranhão, Brazil, originally founded by the French, and which was named in honour of Louis XIII. One of its distinctive features is the use on the facades of coloured tiles known as azulejos, from azul (blue in Portuguese), because of their dominant colour.

Our work is guided by the way scientists question the world around them and we translate their research into images to help people to understand the world better and to awaken their curiosity and wonderment.
