Plante du genre "Cecropia", un arbre habité par des fourmis protectrices au Costa Rica. Ces plantes possèdent une structure particulière à la base du pétiole, le trichilium, qui produit des corps nourriciers riches en glycogène, récoltés et consommés par les fourmis.
