Colonie de fourmis du genre "Azteca", hébergée dans le tronc et les branches creux des plantes à fourmis du genre "Cecropia", au Costa Rica. La cavité interne est segmentée en cellules occupées par les fourmis. Ces dernières protègent la plante des herbivores, en échange de sa protection et de sa nourriture.
