Petit de microcèbe gris dans la forêt de Kirindy à Madagascar. Le microcèbe gris est cité comme un exemple d'espèce au sein de laquelle les mâles ne commettent pas d'infanticides, dans le cadre d'une étude comparative menée sur plus de 260 mammifères. Cette étude vise à documenter les causes et conséquences évolutives de l'infanticide par les mâles chez les mammifères.
