Croissance d'une colonie de levures sauvages, "Saccharomyces cerevisiae", sur un substrat solide, un gel d'agar, produisant à sa surface des rides encore mal comprises. La culture de levures sur des substrats solides donne lieu à une grande variabilité de formes, et dont l'organisation reste mal comprise. Ce phénomène dépend à la fois de la géométrie de la colonie, de son expansion, et également des propriétés métaboliques et génétiques des cellules qui constituent la population.
