Remplissage de guides d'ondes radio avec un gaz isolant, l'hexafluorure de soufre (SF6). Le chercheur se trouve au niveau du modulateur et du klystron d'ALTO, l'Accélérateur linéaire et Tandem à Orsay, de 50 MeV (mégaélectron-volt). Le klystron est un tube à vide permettant de réaliser des amplifications de moyenne et forte puissance à bande étroite en hyperfréquences.
