Salle de chimie propre, dite "grise", aménagée pour le traitement d'échantillons nanométriques dans des conditions optimales. Cette salle est un intermédiaire entre une salle blanche et un laboratoire de chimie standard. Elle est notamment équipée de paillasses spécifiques à la manutention de poudres et de bâtis permettant le traitement de surface du verre et du silicium.
