Observatoire Vallot (4 350 m d'altitude) dans le Massif du Mont-Blanc, dans les Alpes françaises. Construit il y a plus d'un siècle par Joseph Vallot pour y conduire des études scientifiques, l'observatoire du Mont-Blanc a depuis été confié au CNRS. Site de très haute altitude unique en France, il sert de base pour des études glaciologiques, atmosphériques mais aussi d'adaptation physiologique à l'altitude.
