Vérification d'un porte-échantillon contenant un échantillon constitué de nickel, d'aluminium et de tantale, appelé NiAITa, dans les conditions requises pour des expériences sous ultravide. L'ultravide est un environnement permettant d'atteindre la résolution atomique sur des matériaux. Il nécessite cependant l'utilisation d'un protocole strict. Il rend notamment impossible la manipulation directe dans l'enceinte de travail : tout doit être placé minutieusement avant l'introduction dans la chambre.
