Structure cristallographique d'un cuprate YBa2Cu3O7, un matériau supraconducteur. Les atomes d'oxygène sont en rouge, les atomes de cuivre en bleu, les atomes de baryum en vert et les atomes d'yttrium en marron. Les cuprates sont des oxydes de cuivre qui présentent la meilleure supraconductivité connue à ce jour.
