Vue générale d'une expérience de condensation de Bose-Einstein de l'atome de chrome. A gauche de l'image, le four haute température (1 400 °C) émettant un jet d'atomes de chrome. Dans l'axe, le ralentisseur Zeeman qui permet de ralentir les atomes du jet. L'expérience utilise plusieurs sources laser ayant des couleurs différentes (rouge, vert, bleu-violet) dont les réflexions sont visibles sur l'image.
