Le lustre d'une céramique est soumis au faisceau extrait d'Aglaé (Accélérateur Grand Louvre d'Analyses Élémentaires). La perte d'énergie qu'il subit, dont on voit la courbe sur l'écran, permet de révéler la composition du lustre sans effectuer le moindre prélèvement.
