Près du centre de São Paulo, son premier aéroport, le Campo de Marte, l'équivalent du Bourget pour Paris. Sur les bords du Rio Pinheiros se sont développées des activités industrielles (premier plan), commerciales et de loisir : entre le Pinheiros et le Campo de Marte, à gauche de l'image, le centre des expositions et le Sambodrome, où défilent les écoles de samba au moment du carnaval. À l'arrière-plan, les contreforts de la serra da Cantareira.
